Fruitcakes from then to now: the gift that keeps being given Episode 66

You’re not going crazy, I did say fruitcake

Fruitcakes have a much maligned history. There is the joke that there is but one fruitcake passed around every year.

Despite the poor sentiments, a well made fruitcake is rich in flavor and tradition and culture.

Ken Albala discusses some of that history as well as more food history on today’s episode.
