Jason Bassler on forever chemicals
Forever chemicals weren’t called that when they were invented. It was industrial innovation to make life better. Except, there was an unintended consequence. Those chemicals had to go somewhere. That somewhere ended up being farmers’s fields and pasture lands to name two places. Before they got to the field, they were in the water treatment facilities and you can guess how they got there.
Jason Bassler, co-founder of the Free State Project and Police The Police, joins me to discuss forever chemicals, their history and what an anarchist solution might be.
