Sweet potatoes aren’t yams and never were Episode 169

Sweet potatoes can be sweet in a dozen ways but never once can they be yams.

Candied sweet potatoes, or yams, made me think about the sweet potato and why it is so often misnamed. This also has a bit of history of the (sweet) potato and it’s pretty impressive. Even Shakespeare got in on it.
